Academic Support and Retention works to align functional areas with broader student success priorities as outlined in institutional strategic plans. This includes, but is not limited to:  

• Support students in their academic success by coordinating evidence-based academic support offerings for key courses 

• Evaluate stages of the student experience and work with campus partners to identify and address barriers 

• Contribute to the rich landscape of campus high impact practices and mentoring through peer mentoring opportunities, mentored campus employment, and guided support for peers offering academic support.

• Facilitate college readiness efforts with campus partners and at the state level to enhance college readiness and academic success  

• Cultivate a campus culture of data-informed decisions by engaging in continuous examination and inquiry about the student experience to tailor support and programmatic efforts 

• Center diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in all that we do.
