Hannah Shelton-Hauck is a Graduate Intern in Academic Support & Retention (AS&R) at the University of Iowa. Much of her internship work, which is focused on leveraging the role of faculty and staff in students’ academic success, involves coordination, facilitation, and strategic planning for the 1stGen@Iowa initiative and First-Year Seminars. Along with interning with AS&R, she is continuing her education with the University of Iowa’s Higher Education and Student Affairs Master of Arts Program. Before her journey into graduate school, she attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Relations from the University of Iowa in May of 2022. Her vocational hopes are to assist students with their transition into college, both for graduate and undergraduate students
