Dawson Sullens serves as a Graduate Intern at the office of Academic Support & Retention for the Excelling@Iowa platform at the University of Iowa. His work with Excelling@Iowa includes interpreting data from the Excelling@Iowa survey, promote student learning and development through outreach and training, and refer students to appropriate university resources to assure their success at the University of Iowa. He is also currently enrolled in the Public Health Policy (MPH) program. Dawson graduated from Eastern Illinois University in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. During his undergraduate career, Dawson worked with current and incoming students as a Resident Assistant and Admissions Ambassador. Dawson is passionate about equitable access to resources for all people in society and hopes to remedy existing inequalities through the policymaking process in his future career.
